About

It’s good to meet you.

I’m Kathy Lisiewicz. For over 30 years, I’ve navigated the intersection of complex information and human connection. From editing social studies textbooks to shaping development communications at UCLA, I’ve learned that the most powerful messages are the ones that respect the reader’s intelligence. With this understanding, I help organizations distill their mission into clear, human-centered stories that inspire empathy and connection.

What I bring to the table:

  • A strategist’s mindset: I’ve spent two decades in higher ed and nonprofit operations. I don’t just write; I understand the internal mechanics, the timelines, and the audience behaviors that make a campaign move.
  • An editor’s eye: With a background in educational publishing, I have a precision-first approach to clarity, consistency, and brand voice.
  • A “Jeopardy!”-champion level of curiosity (True story: I’m a Jeopardy! champion.): I approach every project with analytical rigor—digging into the “why” and “how” until the messaging is as sharp as it is soulful.

I work with a select number of partners at a time. This allows me to embed with your team, understand your specific culture and challenges, and deliver work that feels like a natural extension of your own mission.
